A bistro table made of a circular red bakelite tray stamped Rex and a black cast iron base . The bakelite top is supported by a cast iron shaft with a triangular cross section. Three wide stepped Art Deco legs make this table unique.
Louis Vuitton partnered with the Rex company to produce quality bistro tables in limited quantities in the 1930s. Louis Vuitton designed many furniture pieces for restaurants in the 1930s, and also a few for the Orient Express.
