Børge Mogensen chair model J39 in beech. J39 is a chairs with generously dimensioned proportions with extremely good comfort. Mogensen's motto was that you should be able to sit comfortably and change your sitting position without problems. The chair is made of solid beech wood and the seat is hand braided in natural colored paper cord.

Mogensen designed this timeless classic as a 28 -year -old architect in 1947. Named after the Protestant faith community of the Shaker. The aim of this design was to create a functionalist design for the population. That is why this model is also referred to as “The People’s Chair”. The Shaker furniture style is now classified as an independent and influential contribution to art history.
